I am a fully qualified and experienced, children’s studio and natural light photographer based in Dublin and I am available for sessions in the Dublin area, and distances up to 80 km from Dublin. When you hire me, you not only get my talents as a photographer, but you also get my help and guidance from beginning to end. I start with a detailed pre-session consultation(over the phone or on-line), typically a week or two prior to the actual session. This helps me to know what your goals are for the session, so that I can tailor it to meet your specific desires. I will give you advice about clothing, make -up when adults will be included, props, and space that I need to set my equipment if its not a studio session.
Kids Photography | how do I work?
As a mother myself I love the process of interacting with all children, finding their beauty, and capturing it with my camera. But for me, the joy of creating beautiful images does not end there. I take thorough care and in the editing , post processing, and retouching your images. Once the images are ready I present them in on-line style gallery, where you will log-in with your own password. And then begins the fun of turning your images into beautiful pieces of art for your walls, or maybe into beautiful photo books for your coffee table. I will also give you my suggestions on how to best transform the images of your children into treasures to be cherished for a long time.
Kids | Children Portrait session arrangements.
The portrait session typically last from 1,5 to 3 hours and can be in-studio, in the comfort of your own home, or at an outdoor setting of your choice. My approach is relaxed and casual. I believe if children are relaxed, they are more likely to be themselves and my photographs are more apt to capture the essence of who they are.
Being kids photographer | few comments
People don’t like it but with kids most photographers have to do it or you will miss the best moments. I put a camera on high speed mode and shoot. The average adult will blink 25 times a minute. The average kid will change their facial expressions dramatically almost as often, so I have to machine gun shoot to get the cutest shots. However It is very important to make certain preparation to make a session as comfortable for everyone as possible. This is a small set of general advice for my clients to get the most out of their photo shoot. I don’t want to just assume that a teenage girl knows to freshen her nail polish the morning of the shoot – you don’t want to assume your son knows to moisturize around his nose leading up to the shoot to avoid flaky, dry skin. I can’t force my clients to perfect preparation, but I can give them the knowledge necessary to do so. A photo shoot of any kind is no small investment for most families and, I would like to provide added value beyond just your artistic talents.
